How do I sign documents electronically?

Upload your document to an e-signature service, draw or type your signature, place it on the signature field, and download or send. Electronic signatures are legally binding under the ESIGN Act (US), eIDAS (EU), and similar laws in 60+ countries.

Signing documents electronically replaces print-sign-scan. Three methods:

Method 1: Self-sign your own document 1. Go to icontract.pro/sign-free. 2. Upload your PDF, Word, or image. 3. Draw your signature with mouse/finger, or type in script font. 4. Place signature on document. 5. Download signed PDF.

Method 2: Send for signature 1. Upload document. 2. Add recipient name + email + signature field. 3. Click send. They get an email link. 4. They sign in their browser; you get the executed copy.

Method 3: Sign a document sent to you 1. Click 'Sign Document' link in email. 2. Document opens in browser. 3. Tap each field, draw/type signature. 4. Submit. Done.

  • Intent to sign.
  • Consent to electronic signature (usually a checkbox).
  • Association of signature with document.
  • Audit trail (IP, timestamp, signer email, document hash).

All major e-signature platforms handle these automatically.
