FAQ

What does 'at-will' employment mean?

At-will means either the employer or employee can terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any legal reason, without notice. This is the default in 49 of 50 US states (Montana excepted).

Are non-compete clauses enforceable?

Increasingly limited. California, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Minnesota largely ban them. The FTC has proposed federal restrictions. This template uses non-solicitation instead, which is more universally enforceable.
